Polymetal CEO Vitaly Nesis says "cherry picking" ESG metrics is a problem
Polymetal International chief executive Vital Nesis told Mining Journal having multiple ESG standards was "very unhelpful" in the battle to ensure higher sustainability practices in mining and clearly communicate performance with stakeholders.
He called for a uniform set of standards that would apply to all companies in a similar way the International Financial Reporting Standards governed the way financial results were presented.
